What we pierce
Whether it is your first ear piercing or a new nose piercing: we give you honest advice on which placement suits you and do your piercing calmly, with sterile single-use materials.
Often the very first piercing: we pierce your ear lobe with sterile single-use materials and fit suitable first jewellery straight away. Beforehand we discuss the placement with you, also for a second or third hole. The ear lobe usually heals fastest, as a guide in 6 to 8 weeks.
The helix sits on the upper rim of the ear, in the cartilage. We show you beforehand how it will look on your ear and advise you on the jewellery. Cartilage heals slowly: expect 6 to 12 months and try not to sleep on that side. For other cartilage placements such as rook or conch, just ask us.
The tragus is the small piece of cartilage in front of your ear canal. Whether it suits a piercing depends on the shape of your ear, and we look at that together. Like the helix it is cartilage and heals slowly, so leave out big headphones and earbuds on that side at first.
The septum piercing goes through the wall between your nostrils. With the right jewellery you can wear it subtly or make a statement. We find the right spot with you so the ring sits straight. As a guide it heals in 2 to 3 months.
The nostril piercing is a classic, with a small stud or a ring. Together we find the spot that suits your face. As a guide the nostril needs 3 to 6 months, so do not change the jewellery too early.
With a belly button piercing the shape of your navel matters. We look at it beforehand and advise you so the jewellery sits well. Waistbands and belts rub, so healing takes patience: as a guide 6 to 12 months.
For lip piercings such as the labret below the lower lip we first use a slightly longer bar, because the area swells at the beginning. Once the swelling has gone down, we fit a shorter one at the studio. As a guide the lip heals in 6 to 8 weeks.
A piercing with character. We show you beforehand how it will sit and choose the placement with you. As a guide it heals in 6 to 8 weeks; take care when removing make-up and combing your hair at first.
The tongue swells noticeably in the first days, so we start with a longer bar and shorten it later. We explain what to watch out for when eating and drinking. As a guide the tongue heals in 4 to 6 weeks.
All healing times are guide values. Every body heals differently, and irritation makes healing take longer.
Age
We pierce from the age of 16, ear lobes included. If you are not yet 18, a parent or legal guardian comes with you to the appointment and signs the consent form as well. Any questions about age? Just ask us.

It depends on the spot: as a guide 4 to 6 weeks for the tongue and 6 to 12 months for helix and belly button. During the consultation we tell you what to expect.
